Good evening everyone, and a very happy Thursday. Tonight I would like to talk about what makes for good advertising from a design standpoint and in general. First off, you need to know your audience, only then can you create an ad that will appeal to them and draw their attention. Once you’ve successfully accomplished this step, you will need to ensure you can keep your audience‘s attention to give them the desired information, such as services, products being offered etc. This can be accomplished by using your design to help engage and guide your reader through it. For example if you look at an advertisement for say, McDonalds new chicken sandwich. You will first be given the products name, followed by necessary information such as pricing, details, etc before mist likely a beautiful shot of said sandwich on the poster paired with the proper color combination to visually appeal to everyone. As long as you can successfully capture and guide your audence’s attention by employing these few tips and many others, you will be able to successfully design your own advertisement. We are currently exposed to hundreds of thousands of examples of advertisement every single day, from reading a menu at a restaurant, to shopping for a vehicle, and so much more! Remember to look around next time you go out and you will certainly see what I mean and begin getting your own ideas to add. hi As always stay safe, humble, and creactive!
