Logo Design Process

Good afternoon everyone and a happy Tuesday. Today I would like to explore the vast concept of the logo designing process. I’m my personal experience as a designer, I’ve found that you will have to go through hundreds of ideas to reach that one that works. Sometimes you just need to get those lackluster ideas out of your head and onto paper, so never be afraid to create multiple designs and variations. There is never a “bad” idea and no “right or wrong” answers. The success of a logo design is based both on it’s relevance to the subject of which it is representing, and how easily it gets the point across to the target audiences . For example my own personal logo above was a creation of mine, and one of many variations I spent many nights creating. It may seem like a simple idea, but it has a far deeper significance. The “C” turns into a seeming shooting star, which I wanted to portray because in art for myself or anything you’re passionate about, we should always aim high and shoot for the stars, and let our creativity flow and our strengths shine bright like a star in the night. Its not too “busy” in a sense that it visually overwhelms the eye or makes the viewer lose sight of the point it is trying to display. The term “less is more” could not be more true, not because of lazy design, but because something clean and to the point is proven to resonate more than a conglomerate of multiple ideas into one messy subject. The main takeaway from this would simply be to always do more than less, keep everything in the realm of relevancy, and never be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and try new things, it could end up benefiting you and your logo in a big way. And as always stay humble, safe, and creative!
